The Ministry of Health has decided to suspend the sale of drugs containing valsartan of Chinese origin suspected of containing a carcinogenic element.
The decision was announced by the National Agency for Medicines and Health Technologies (Agemed), which also launched a health alert for this reason.

The Health Alert, which forced the ban of this drug in 22 other countries, after a study by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which states that there was a contamination in Valsartan due to a change in the way Zhejing Huahai Pharmaceutical manufactured it.
