With a diameter of about 161,000 miles and surrounded by a large cloud of dust and green gas, the comet "Hulk" gains incredibly speed and its brightness gets stronger which allowed amateur astronomer Michael Jäger, from Austria, to capture a wonderful image on July 2nd.
Fireworks in the space! The comet PANSTARRS (C / 2017 S3) on July 1 exploded in brightness, suddenly increasing its brightness by 16 times; the expansion of its green atmosphere almost twice the size of the planet Jupiter. pic.twitter.com/YYosOIJx56

Thanks to its rapid increase in brightness, and its trajectory with an approach to our Sun, the comet PANSTARRS (C / 2017 S3) can be observed with the naked eye in the night sky in mid-August, according to Space Weather .
Its proximity to Sol has made astronomers consider several hypotheses about what will happen, however, are unsure of what can happen when the comet is exposed to heat and radiation of the Sun.
The celestial body is composed mainly of fragile ice, so its reaction to the sun is unknown.
Burst confirmed in comet C / 2017 S3 (PANSTARRS). Image of Mr. Mattiazzo this morning, according to the author "appears in magnitude 9, coma of 4" intense in the green channel, indicating a gas explosion ". We will continue to inform. pic.twitter.com/2ssWS29C1a

"Hulk" will reach its closest point to the Sun between August 15 and 16. Although for the moment it is visible only by means of telescopes, it is noticed that it is possible that gas explosions that give it this color occur due to a heat increase . This is because its outer layer begins to melt for the first time, making it more and more visible.
