Google has removed 13 apps from its Google Play store because they were harmless games when it was a virus.

According to NDTV reports, all applications looked like racing games of cars or motorbikes that could be downloaded for free, but were actually Trojan horses for introducing malware into phones.

Although Google has removed the apps, those who downloaded them still run the risk of having their data in the wrong hands.

The applications to uninstall are:

  • Luxury SUV car traffic
  • Driving simulator
  • Extreme Car Driving Racing
  • Moto Cross Extreme Racing
  • Parking SUV City Climb
  • Extreme car driving city
  • City Traffic
  • Extreme sports driving
  • Hyper driving simulator
  • Freight simulator
  • SUV 4 × 4 driving simulator
  • Firefighter – fire truck simulator
  • Luxury parking

According to Lukas Stefanko, a security researcher at the ESET Internet Product Company, more than 560,000 downloads of fraudulent applications have been downloaded.

Stefanko says that they all have the same developer, Luiz Pinto, and that when the user has downloaded the game immediately, the app's icon is gone and asked to download another application called Game Center whose only function was to take control of the data and the telephone system. .

Two of these apps appeared in the trend section of the Play Store before being removed, according to NDTV. Google revealed in January that it had removed more than 700,000 malicious apps from its Play Store last year.
