Mobile phones with flexible displays are one of the most anticipated trends for 2019 and no business wants to be left behind. This week, LG gave yet another clue as to its evolution towards this trend, through a published patent in which smart phone with flexible screen, without borders and beautiful discrete bezels.

Sketches included in the patent filed with the Korea Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) indicate that the mobile would be endowed with a flexible screen covering all four sides. Similarly the sketches show that the screen could be placed magnetically against the case.

LG's folding screen phone takes shape

In the middle of the year, LG has registered its mechanism for a folding phone, although its operation is not entirely clear. While many companies are handling mobile technology with folding screens in their roadmap, LG's progress in this regard has been demonstrated, thanks to its work as the leading supplier of this type of panel, for customers such as Samsung, already announced the launch of its first model with this type of screens for March 2019.
