The edit tweet feature you see on social networks actually comes from an unofficial extension; it 's called Better Tweetdeck, and as its name indicates it' s a series of improvements and tweaks from Tweetdeck.
In recent months, Better Tweetdeck has also added an edit button to our tweets, but in reality, this feature does not work. modify the tweet, modifying what is already published.
Instead, this function removes the original tweet and allows us to write it again. It's something we could do manually; the button only facilitates the process. If we click on "edit", the application will erase the tweet and open a new window with the original text so that we can change what we want; when we finish, it will be published as a new tweet.
Therefore, if we use this "edit" option, we will lose the original tweet; and that means losing the RT, the "likes", and the extent to which she has had it.
How do we get this button?
Well, it's very easy, we just need to install the Better Tweetdeck extension, which is available for Chrome Firefox and Opera .
Once installed, just open Tweetdeck (or reload the tab if we already have it open); If this is the first time you use Tweetdeck, do not worry, you just have to sign in with your Twitter account.
When you hover your mouse over a tweet, you see it at the bottom, next to the RTs counter and I like it, there is an icon with three dots. If we click on it, among the many options we have an "edit" call.
Eye: if we click on this button the tweet will be erased and we will lose the RTs
