Luis Malvido was appointed president of Aerolineas Argentinas in replacement of Mario Dell's Acqua, recently appointed president of the former Enarsa.

The new president of the Argentine flag company was the executive director of Telefónica for the South American region, which includes companies in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Uruguay .

From 2015 to December, Malvido was executive director of Telefónica for the South American region. He was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Telefónica O2 in the Czech Republic, the largest telecommunications company in the country. He was also managing director of Telefónica's fixed telephony business in Brazil, after serving as president and chief executive officer of Telefónica Venezuela. In addition, he was Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Telefónica Móviles de Argentina, a position he held since June 1998.

Malvido is Argentinian, he is an industrial engineer at the Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA). He has postgraduate studies at IESE in Madrid, and at IDEA and ITBA in Buenos Aires.

The company also announced that Mario Dell Acqua, the outgoing president, who replaced Isela Constantini, will continue as a member of the board of directors. According to the newspaper Ámbito, Malvido was moved from his managerial position to Telefónica Argentina commissioned at the end of 2016 by the president of the Spanish company José María Álvarez-Pallete to divide the top management of the company into two. Malvido with Federico Fava and Eduardo Caride, ex-director for Latin America also displaced, were those who accepted the meeting between Álvarez-Pallete and Mauricio Macri at the Quinta de Olivos in June 2016. On this occasion, the head of management argued before the president that there were "asymmetries" in the decree regulating competition in the telecommunications sector and allowing G Rufo Clarín to enter the cell phone business through Nextel. In March of this year, the government signed a decree granting Nextel the opportunity to provide 4G service

Last week, Telefónica de Argentina announced that it had challenged before the Ministry of Commerce the resolution by which the government approved the merger between Cablevisión (Grupo Clarín) and Telecom

Malvido in favor of the flexibilisation of work

Malvido arrives at Aerolíneas Argentina while the aeronautical workers denounce the entry of the low cost airlines in the country, a government business model based on labor flexibility and cost reduction, which endangers the safety of passengers, as we recently saw on a Flyfbondi flight in Iguazú [19659002] "With FlyBondi you play with fire, we must avoid a new Chapecoense"

On flexibilization of work and outsourcing Malvido knows a lot up. In recent years, in the company Telefonica de Argentina, the subsidiary responsible for the management of the region, several workers have lost their lives and many victims of precarious conditions in which they perform their tasks on a daily basis

. Telefónica reduces its "costs" through outsourcing. The workers of these companies do not have the basic tools to work, they work piece by piece, they undergo difficult rhythms because of lower wages. A combo that guarantees record profits for multinational phone companies. Another former CEO joins Aerolíneas Argentina. Surely, the insecurity of employment, which also exists in Airlines, will continue in the hands of Malvido
