Minister Reverol announced the restructuring of Saime

Caracas – Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Néstor Reverol, informed that he has met with the directors and coordinators of the Administrative Identification, Migration and foreigners (Saime) to agree to a restructuring of the organization by orders of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

The minister said via his social network Twitter that 244 Saime offices will be reviewed to carry out the restructuring mentioned above which includes "infrastructure, technology, equipment, transportation and the party Staff".

He explained that they "examine the 92,774 passports that they are not removed by users "and they evaluate the possibilities of converting them into new passports, this according to a diagnosis that will be presented by each regional director, who will present his proposals before the National Executive.

Reverol announced the creation of a National Migration Police that will work in every airport in the country.

"In the medium term, the migration points will be covered by the National Migration Police, it is a work that we do with UNES (the National Experimental University of Security), with the body of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), and migrant officials will have the opportunity to participate in this competition as a national migration police, to occupy more than 70 migration points that are throughout the territory ".

The Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace has proposed the reform of the legal provisions on documentation, which will be submitted to the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) for its respective assessment.
