Mixed Relay sets a record

Barranquilla.- Members of the 4×100 Mexico Mixed Relay set a Central American record of 3: 31.66 minutes.

Jorge Iga, Liliana Ibáñez, Mónika González Hermosillo and Long Gutiérrez tied the gold medal over Colombia. Venezuela (both with 3: 33.88 minutes).

"We are very excited, and I personally had a lot of fun," said Ibáñez with the metal hanging on his neck.

For the tricolor, the participation of the country revived the Mexican swimming and took a lot of strength, especially in the new branch of the mixed relay.

Barranquilla's experts wonder how Ibáñez endures so much. The native of Celaya was able to participate in 17 competitions during these Games of Central America and the Caribbean.
