Word is one of the desktop applications par excellence, and although it has hard competitors like LibreOffice, it remains an alternative to take into account, thanks to its free versions and to its paid suites Office 365 and Office 2019. We Today you bring 184 keyboard shortcuts for Microsoft Word on Windows, allowing you to increase the speed at which you perform many of your actions.

Obviously, it's not necessary for you to memorize them all, but I'm sure there will be some who can help you with this task that you perform several times and that always takes a few clicks. And that's precisely it, to be able to do things faster by pressing a simple key combination instead of having to search for the option and click on it.

Function keys

We start with the function keys, which are the ones that go from F1 to F12. Each of them having a specific function in the application, so it is convenient that you know them to speed up certain processes such as access to help, repetition of actions, moving between fields or developing a selection.

Shortcuts with the "Shift" and Function keys

You will find below a series of keyboard shortcuts in which you will combine the key Shift o uppercase with the function keys, those who go from F1 to F12. With them, you can copy texts, switch between upper and lower case letters or display the context menu, among other things.

CAPITAL + F3	Toggles between the first capitalization, all caps or all lowercase
CAPS + F4	Repeat a word search action
CAPITAL + F5	Scroll between the latest changes
CAPS + F6	The opposite of F6: go to the previous panel or frame
CAPITAL + F7	Open the search window for synonyms
CAPS + F8	If you selected an entire sentence or multiple words, reduce the size of the selection
CAPITAL + F9	Switch from a field code to its result and vice versa
CAPITAL LETTERS + F10	Show the context menu
CAPITAL + F11	Go to the previous field
CAPITAL + F12	Go to the menu Save how
