For the study, researchers recruited 119 men between 18 and 35 years old, who divided into two groups. One group ate 60 grams of almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts daily in addition to their usual "western" style diet, while the second group did not eat them.

After 14 weeks, the walnut group experienced significant improvements in sperm count, vitality, motility (movement), and morphology (shape).
