Workers Party ( PT ) assured this Sunday that the decision taken by the Regional Federal Court of Porto Alegre (TRF-4), accepting habeas corpus for liberation of the leader Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva means "the freedom of Brazil ".
By a statement, they indicated that after 92 days in prison "was recognized the right of comrade Lula to defend himself in liberty of the arbitrary award and to challenge the presidency of the Republic on a par with the other candidates. "
The PT stated that the order of Judge Rogerio Favreto restored the rule of law in the face of violations committed by Judge Sergio Moro during the arrest of Lula. However, Judge João Pedro Gebran Neto signed an annulment order.
"It is simply inconceivable that the order of a debtor of the Federal Regional Court is not respected, as Sergio Moro, who is of lower authority," said the magistrate's attempt to prevent the release.
They emphasized that these actions demonstrate that the South American judicial system "is at the service of political and economic interests, in Brazil and in other countries, that do not tolerate the development project with justice and social inclusion that Lula represents ".
Social movements and political organizations remain outside the headquarters of the federal police in Curitiba pending the release of Lula.
