Public sector workers demonstrated Wednesday at Plaza Morelos de Caracas to hand over a document to the ombudsman's office and demand improvements in salaries and wages.
Employees of the National Sports Institute of the Caracas Metropolitan Area attended the event; Corpoelec, Cantv, Movilnet, oil companies, Seniat and other Crown corporations.
In addition, employees from different sectors of the work have required payments to retirees, compliance with collective agreements and wage claims for years of service in different companies.
A picket of the Bolivarian National Guard prevented the workers from going to the ombudsman's office.
