(Caracas, July 17 News24) – 8GB DRAM memory was designed for 5G networks, for artificial intelligence that could make part of his next phone star.

Samsung announced that it has developed what it claims to be the world's first 8GB RAM DRAM designed with the 10-nanometer process, and that it is ready to be embedded in phones mobile and control systems designed to operate in the environment of 5G networks and in particular with Artificial Intelligence.

As explained by the company in a statement, the new 8GB LPDDR5 memory represents one of the biggest challenges in the production of low power memory. This memory has a data rate of up to 6,400 megabits per second, which makes it up to 1.5 times faster than the previous generation of DRAM memories.

Samsung also explained that this memory will have a higher transfer speed because it is able to send 51.2 gigabytes of data or up to 14 HD video files of up to 3.7 GB in one second.

It's unclear whether the Galaxy Note 9 could have this type of RAM, or whether Samsung would relegate this innovation to the Galaxy S10 that would be launched next year, when some 5G networks will enter the phases. in the United States and in other Asian countries, although in our experience these pre-launch announcements are generally incorporated into the device that will be introduced.

One of the novelties of this RAM is that when it is developed under the 10 nanometer platform allows the reduction of the energy consumption, and to this it should be added that Samsung has incorporated a "deep sleep mode", which further reduces the power of the device than the current version of its devices.

RAM will also be compatible with connected vehicles and Artificial Intelligence technologies that require a continuous connection, while being able to read UHD content.
