Stephen Hillenburg, creator of the famous Nickelodeon series Bob sponge, died on Monday, November 26, at age 57 due to a degenerative disease.
According to the CNN news portal, Nickelodeon would have confirmed the news of his death. "Today we will have a moment of silence to pay tribute to his life and work," Twitter wrote on the channel.
The facilitator had revealed last year that he was suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or even "Lou Gehrig's disease", and that there is currently no cure.
