Two days after the New York Yankees named Ronald Torreyes as an infielder, a team has already claimed the player and made a change with the Bronx Bombers.
This is the Chicago Cubs, and the change has been announced by both teams. The Cubs got Torreyes from the Yankees in exchange for monetary considerations and a player who will bear the name of it.
The Venezuelan lasted only three seasons with the New York Yankees and was appreciated for his versatility on the field, but also for his great contribution to the clubhouse of the team. Torreyes could not be consolidated as an undisputed player in the franchise and spent most of his time in New York in the minor leagues.
The Yankees have claimed Parker RHP Parker Bridwell's decision on Los Angeles Angels waivers.
To make room for the training of 40 people, Ronald Torreyes was demobilized.
