The National Institute of Forensic Sciences confirmed the identification of five people: a two-month-old baby, a two-year-old girl, a four-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl. a 19 year old child while continuing to work on the 240 unidentified cases still pending.
The spokesman for the civil protection entity said that of the newly identified only two, the four-year-old and the 19-year-old were on the list of missing, whose figure is now at 300.
On June 3, the volcano of Fuego recorded one of the strongest forces in its history leaving at least 121 dead, 300 missing and nearly two million affected people, in addition to significant material damage.
