A total of 33 people were treated in German hospitals after an airline Ryanair dropped about 9,000 meters and made an emergency landing at Frankfurt-Hahn airport , the German Federal Police said.

The aircraft, code FR7312, covered the road between Dublin and the Croatian city of Zadar on Friday afternoon with 189 passengers on board when it suffered a "sudden drop in pressure" in the cabin that forced the emergency maneuver, a spokesman for Ryanair informed.

"Passengers complained of headaches and ears and suffered from nausea," said a spokesman for the federal police who acknowledged that some of them were bleeding. Several of them have already been released, according to German media, but others remain in place.

The Flightradar24 site recorded a crash of the affected craft from over 12,000 meters in height to 3,000 meters. The airline has not yet communicated the cause of the loss of pressure in the cabin.

A replacement aircraft completed the interrupted route from Frankfurt Hahn Airport to Zadar, although many passengers disappeared between passengers, as well as those who are still hospitalized.
