The ship El Señor del Mar is of the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) type, which are monumental vessels used for the production, storage and disposal of hydrocarbons where oil and gas from production wells are separated.
The Sea Lord is 340 meters long and has a storage capacity of 2.2 million barrels of oil. It also has a power plant that produces 48 megawatts. It has been running continuously since mid-2007.
