Officials of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) on Thursday arrested Sintra Ferrerrera's secretary general, Rubén González, who belongs to the Ferrominera Orinoco estate.
The event was recorded in Anaco, in the state of Anzoátegui.
According to González's colleagues, the arrest would have been recorded after the return of workers from Ferrominera de Caracas.
The procedure was carried out by the army, according to the arrest warrant issued by the union leader since August 13, González having banned two soldiers to carry out an inspection of the vehicle in which he was.
The first sergeant, Yorbis González Urbina and second sergeant, Cristian Marin Calzadilla, rode to the back of the truck to proceed with the inspection, which began.
The case was notified to the military prosecutor 43, based in Ciudad Bolívar. González and his companions were wanted for unlawful deprivation of liberty and contempt of GNB officials.
It is estimated that González will be presented to the court this Friday.
