The Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in exile declared Wednesday the absolute absence of the presidency of the Republic.
The body said that the current "power vacuum" must be filled in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
"TSJ Legitimo declares an absolute lack of the presidency of Venezuela and decrees the urgency of filling the power vacuum in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic, "said the agency on its Twitter account.
The decision of the TSJ in exile, taken in plenary session, comes after Luisa Ortega, Attorney General of the Republic, has requested the opening of a trial before the trial against President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
