Caracas .- The president of the Venezuelan Medical Federation, Douglas León Natera, asked the government for a "dignified" salary adjustment for doctors and nurses in the country.

By an interview broadcast on Union Radio, the doctor specified that they were asking, at least, " 200 minimum wages for the internal doctor and the rural doctor (newly graduated), for the resident physician 220 minimum wages, "he added that doctor 1 should earn 230 minimum wages.
He also adds that " specialist 1, and thereafter until the closing of the last table of the maximum scale that are the public health doctor 3 and the hospital-type medical director 4 "should earn 420 minimum wages.
On the other hand, for 16 days, nurses went on strike to demand better wages and better working conditions.
Natera denounced that the government "does not comply" with the laws of the Constitution that guarantee health and life to citizens.
