Venezuelan Wins Best Guadalajara Fiction Short Film Festival Award

Filmmaker Alex Méndez Giner won the Best Short Fiction Award at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Mexico, thanks to his film Block of the writer.

The audiovisual starring Venezuelan Sandy Siquier and developing a horror story with touches of creativity in which a writer receives a series of packages with strange content.

Graduate of Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), Méndez has made many short films. In addition, he is a professor of cinema at the University of Syracuse.

The filmmaker is currently developing the scenario for what will be his first feature film, whose production is scheduled for the year 2020.
