Vettel asks for free time after an exhausting year

Sebastian Vettel, Ferrari driver, lost to Lewis Hamilton the 2018 title after committing several errors in the second half of the season and despite winning five races for the Italian team.

After the end of the season lived last Sunday in Abu Dhabi, Vettel said he was eager to end his official commitments at the end of the year.

"We have to attend some events, but after all that I've experienced this year, to be very honest, I want to finish everything," said Sebastian Vettel. "I need time for myself, it has been a very difficult and exhausting year, I really need a little space."

"I am also confident, as I have found over the last few winters, that very soon after the winter, I will be very hungry for the next race."

Vettel will take part in the tire test Pirelli this week with his new teammate, Charles Leclerc.
