During the filming of "Mission Impossible 6", the actor fell from a helicopter at a time of tension during which members of the production believed that the actor had passed away.
The scene is scary when Cruise pursues a helicopter piloted by Henry Cavill, jumps and holds a rope during takeoff from the plane. But while the helicopter takes off, Ethan Hunt, the character who plays the actor in this movie, falls and knocks on a charge carrying Cavill.

According to Esquire, Rebecca Ferguson and Henry Cavill (co-stars of the film), they had their heart in their hands during the scenes.
"I heard myself screaming, I really thought it had fallen," Ferguson said. "All the assistants gave a muffled cry," confirmed Cavill.
But it was not the only incident that the actor suffered during the shooting of the last installment of the action saga, Cruise also broke his ankle by jumping from the roof of one building to another.
