With his own machines, the Mayor of Maracaibo picks up 800 tons of garbage a day
With the recent activation of 11 compactors, four minimatic and 35 dumpers, the Mayor's Office of Maracaibo, through the Directorate General of Urban Management (Dggu), collects 800 tons of waste in the city. per day, saving resources. which were previously invested to rent this equipment.
Dggu general manager Daniel Boza explained that these resources are now being used to ensure optimal service to the maracaiberos, by cleaning up areas such as San Jacinto, Panamericano, La Victoria, among others. 70% of the city's main road corridors, municipal markets and hospitals.
He pointed out that the fact that the municipality can release the contaminated spaces with these machines is a success because of the incorrect disposal of solid waste.
