Venus Williams brought a touch of originality to the Louis Vuitton Spring / Summer 22 show during Paris Fashion Week today.
Taking place at the Louvre this afternoon, the tennis pro has arrived on stage in head-to-toe pieces from the French fashion house. The set started off with a gold sequined mini dress layered under a quilted waistcoat adorned with studs and a flattened collar.
Along with her handbag, Williams’ look for the show also included the craziest set of boots. The pair hit mid-calf and featured a unique soft brown leather upper with a side zipper, resembling the sleeve of a motorcycle jacket. The silhouette, which debuted at the brand’s Fall / Winter 21 runway earlier this year, also had a double-buckle toe in contrasting tones and a towering wedge heel.
In the field, Williams of course opts for the creations of her own label EleVen by Venus as well as for Wilson, of which she is the ambassador. According to Forbes, Venus Williams’ many mentions include earlier deals with Wilson, Electronic Arts, Kraft, Ralph Lauren, and Tide. Tied for 10th highest-paid female athlete of 2019, Venus’s total revenue earned her $ 5.9 million with endorsements alone worth $ 5 million. And that’s not all: The athlete launched his own YouTube channel last year and can cash up to six figures per appearance on the speaking circuit.
