While Verizon started coming out 5G For homes last fall, he plans to incorporate this next-generation communication technology into his current mobile network with a national rollout this year. But which phones can you use?

The carrier has not released any details on its projects, aside from the 5G ultra-broadband network, as Verizon has called it press materialwill reach 30 US cities in 2019.

The Moto Z3 is not as bright as the other phones on this list, but it will be much more affordable, which will give Verizon an advantage over other operators who only support the biggest flagship brands of 5G. We do not just mean "mid-range," the Moto Z3 launched last fall priced at $ 480 (about £ 370, AU 650) and is arguably a bit cheaper on the market.

Even if the 5G Moto Mod has an exorbitant price, both will still be half as much cheaper, or even a third, as cheap as other 5G compatible phones running on these carrier networks.

Of course, do not expect a high performance at this price. The Moto Z3 contains a Snapdragon 835 – the most powerful Android chip of 2017 – and starts with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (you can opt for 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for a great price). Its 6-inch AMOLED display fits perfectly, even though it does not contain 2160 x 1080 (FHD +).

Its 12MP f / 2.0 main rear shooter is complemented by a 12MP monochrome lens for low light, while the front camera is an 8MP f / 2.0 camera for selfies. Add a 3000 mAh battery and you get a decent phone with bright, sleek glass front and back … but you'll probably need to keep the 5G mod attached to the back to access Verizon's advanced network.

Nevertheless, this is a compromise that should suit people who want ultra-fast 5G speeds, but do not want to lose $ 1,000 or more to get it. And like other mods, the 5G Moto Mod will work with other Motorola phones – although it is only confirmed that the system works for the moment with the Moto Z2 (compatible at some point after the Z3, by the product ). page).

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

Verizon will get the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, the powerful and compatible 5G version of the Galaxy S10's flagship line. The phone is upscale, with impressive specifications and a giant screen. It is also expected to be quite expensive. Although we do not yet have an official cost, the S10 Plus starts at $ 999 / AU $ 899 and the 5G version outperforms it in most dimensions, so we expect an even higher price high.

The phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 855 chip pack, 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM. Like the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, the 5G variant is composed of three rear lenses (12 MP wide, 16 MP ultra-fast and 12 MP telephoto) as well as a flight time sensor for measure the depth. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will be available to Verizon customers in the first half of 2019.

LG V50 ThinQ 5G

At MWC 2019, Verizon announced that a third phone would be usable on its 5G network this summer: the LG V50 ThinQ 5G. Verizon is not the only operator to support LG's new flagship product and, given the vague timetable proposed by all operators, it's unclear whether Verizon will receive the V50 later than Sprint, which says have it on the phone "in the coming years." month."

Anyway, the size and appearance of the V50 are identical to those of last year's V40 (up to the same 6.4-inch OLED display), with a few differences. It ships the latest Snapdragon 855 processor, as expected of a flagship product of 2019. But it also introduces two new changes: a larger 4000 mAh battery and a vaporization chamber for the phone to be powered and cooled, respectively, during long sessions of excessive consumption of media.

We still do not know how much the V50 5G will cost, but since its predecessor was priced at $ 900 (about £ 690 / AU $ 1260) for the launch last fall, we expect that the new version 5G is near or slightly higher than that.
