Verizon confirms that the next Galaxy Note will have 5G

If you follow a phone, this is not surprising – the next Galaxy Note, probably called Galaxy Note 10, will support 5G cellular networks.

There are so many reasons why this makes perfect sense, including:

But the best reason is that Hans Vestberg, CEO of Verizon, said it explicitly yesterday, when calling on the company's quarterly results for the first quarter of 2019.

"The Note and the Galaxy that will arrive this year will have 5G," he said, noting that Verizon also has a compatible LG 5G phone, presumably the LG V50 ThinQ, also integrated into its network.

If I were on the market for a Samsung 5G phone, I would expect at least 10 note reviews – not only does the Galaxy S10 5G appear to be a lesser phone. quality, but current 5G networks could really, really use more time to mature.

Here's the other interesting thing that Vestberg said during Verizon's call.
