Verizon today shared an aggressive new trade-in program that it says will allow new and existing customers to trade in broken iPhones for up to $ 1,000 credit when purchasing a new iPhone. The company says it’s no April Fool’s joke and that the limited-time promotion starts on – yes – April 1.
Verizon detailed the new broken iPhone and Android trade-in today in a short YouTube video and press release. The Transporter says up front that this isn’t an April Fool’s Day prank, but as The Verge noted, this deal sounds too good to be true. However, the fine print is part of the explanation for this if it is in fact just a new, poorly programmed program.
