Vice City leaks may tease a ‘Red Dead 2’ wild link

Rockstar Games has yet to reveal what it has planned for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. For now, fans only know that the next episode of the crime saga is in the works, but a series of unconfirmed GTA 6 Leaks claim the open world adventure will see a rebirth of Vice City.

Other leaks known as “Project Americas” also mention that GTA 6 will take place in several parodied American cities and in several Latin American-inspired destinations. One fan thinks all of this could mean the return of a major southern city of Red Dead Redemption 2 called Saint Denis.

On Sunday, Reddit user cmputerguy posted to the r / GamingLeaksAndRumors subdirectory noting that Take-Two Interactive (the publisher of the series) has renewed its ownership of the domains. gtavicecityonline.com and gtavi.com. It may be a smart move for the company to claim both of these so that random people aren’t claiming them, but it’s at least possible that these websites may have some use at some point in the future. If Project Americas turns out to be true and the story and online mode of the game features several cities in the United States of America, South America and South America, then it stands to reason that Vice City could serve as a central hub of sorts.

Then on Monday, Redditor PeddarCheddar11 posted an image of a hand-drawn map of the cities they hope to see in GTA 6 if the Project Americas rumors end up being true. They include several US states as well as a handful of sites from the Caribbean and South America, each with parody names given to the region.

We have a fan rumor and theory, but together they paint a compelling picture of how these Project America rumors might manifest in GTA 6.

“My restitution covers four hypothetical states,” they wrote. “Pensa (Florida), Lemoyne (Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama) Del Castro (Cuba, not an American state but a sovereign country, although free passage is allowed) AmaƱevo (Panama, Colombia and northern Brazil …)”

Lemoyne is already included in rDR2 and contains the largest city in the game – Saint Denis – which is based on New Orleans. If Rockstar really plans to have GTA 6 mostly take place in the South, so a fictional version of The Big Easy would suit the overall theme and tone perfectly, as does Vice City, the GTA Miami parody, which is also present on the map.

Rockstar has also built a reputation for associating its games with devious Easter eggs and references over the years. There are countless references to GTA games in GTA 5 and even a few tips of the hat Red Dead universe.

Including Saint Denis in GTA 6 would allow Rockstar to sprinkle a myriad of rDR2 references throughout the upcoming title, which fans like Redditor vexemo would love.

“I just realized that if they made a GTA map, they could totally implement Saint Denis in it, “they wrote.” Since they would have to do a lot of work to make it ‘modern’, that might be a bit of a stretch, but it would be amazing to have little references to rDR2 as well as.”

Could Rockstar give Saint Denis a modern makeover for ‘GTA 6’?rock star games

There exists a rDR2 location that PeddarCheddar11 does not mention on its map and which could also be perfectly suitable GTA 6 if the Project Americas leaks are correct, Guarma. The Caribbean location is only presented for a brief chapter in the west, and GTA 6 could develop the history of the island.

Rockstar could modernize the island and turn it into a drug trafficking base where the protagonist (s) of GTA 6 could stop before flying or sailing to Saint-Denis or even Vice City.

The world could be yours once GTA 6 is announced – or at least the southwest quarter of it.

GTA 6 is currently in development.
