The first of three 2021 Creative Arts Emmy Awards is in the books, and Netflix The Queen’s Gambit overtook the pack with seven wins. The streamer also dominated the network / platform arena with 12 trophies.

This year’s second and third ceremonies are scheduled for 1 p.m. PT and 5 p.m. PT on Sunday, with a limited audience. An edited version of the Creative Arts Emmys airs at 8 p.m. Saturday, September 18 on FXX.

Emmy nominations: “The Crown”, “The Mandalorian”; HBO / HBO Max Outperforms Netflix For No.1 – Full Nominee List

by netflix The crown and Disney + The Mandalorian enter the Emmys with a leader of 24 names each. Among platforms, as usual, the fight is between HBO and Netflix, with HBO and HBO combined edging the streaming giant in total between 130 and 129 names. Disney + has 71 names, followed by NBC with 46 – a strong performance for a broadcast network in the streaming age.

The Primetime Emmys will air live Sunday, September 19 on CBS and air on Paramount +.
