When The Pokémon Company announced remakes of Nintendo DS titles Diamond and pearl earlier this week the most noticeable difference was obviously the art style.
All the sprite work in the original games has now been replaced with nice 3D graphics in Shiny diamond and shiny pearl. There’s obviously been a lot of talk about it since, and we even ran a poll yesterday to see what everyone was thinking.
Today we bring you a side-by-side comparison of the 2006 games versus the 2021 Switch versions, courtesy of GameXplain. This clip includes a preview of normal playback speed, which is followed by slow replay.
As you can see, there are things that don’t even appear in the original games – which are completely new (like a Nintendo Switch in the main character’s room, instead of a Wii) and then there’s things in there that seem to confirm The content of the Platinum version will be presented.
