For many of us Super Mario Bros. & # 39; The world level 1-1 is permanently engraved on the back of our eyelids. Who could forget this iconic start – block of interrogation points, row of blocks with Goomba underneath, distortion tube, and so on. Magical.
Whatever it is, before we get scrambled, it's time to think about how this level could be played out if it was completely transformed into other genres. And if Mario was not a platform hero? And did he like to be the star of text-based adventures or FMV games, or even participate in a royal battle scenario?
In fact, that's exactly what Big Breakfast Collective people have imagined in the video below. Team members Alex Williams, Phillip Busch, Dennis Lorenze and Mattia Traverso have recreated this level of openness in ten different ways, sharing the project on Itch.io. We think this does not fit perfectly with all the styles imagined here, but some certainly give our faithful 1-1 an interesting version.
