It’s a Grey’s Anatomy/Station 19 spoilerpalooza! The new ABC dramas season one crossover event promo on Thursday, September 30 is so jam-packed with information, it’s practically bulging.
We already knew, of course, about a “return of a heckuva” for Grey’s Anatomy (and I even think we’ve found which key figure is being brought on a stretcher by Station 19first responders). But the explosive clip also includes what appears to be our first glimpse of Owen and Teddy’s second attempt to marry.
“Should we get married?” Asks Dr. Altman, dressed in white and holding a beautiful bouquet.
“We should get married,” replies Dr Hunt. (This further feeds into our theory that they are the duo forming a relationship: you can see the mother of the groom in the photo in which the bride exclaims, “Oh my God!”)
Elsewhere in the promo, Bailey expresses disbelief at Richard’s sudden apparent interest in cryogenics. “So you want to freeze people?” ” she asks. We get a glimpse of Amelia and Link in couples therapy, the former wondering aloud why marriage is her choice for a life together. And the voiceover informs us that “someone from Meredith’s past is coming back.”
Our intuition? That someone will turn out to be Dr. Peter Gallagher. Alain David Hamilton, who knew Grey’s late mother (Kate Burton’s return) at the time, or Kate Walsh, who is about to reprise her role as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery for a few episodes. But after the Season 17 Returns parade, you never know with Grey’s Anatomy.
Station 19-sage, the promo promised to find out – but offered no real clue as to – what was to come for Sullivan and Andy (whose marriage was turned upside down after she learned he had taken Maya’s job to save fire station) or Dean and Vic (who stayed in the friends zone for so long that she reunited with Theo before Miller could reveal his feelings).
But you don’t want to read our description, not when you just could press play on the video above and check it out for yourself. After that, tap on the comments with your theories. This To be Owen and Teddy’s wedding, right? And your best estimate of the “heckuva return”?
