Video leak of Pixel 4 reveals thick edges and sides

This is not a Pixel phone launch as long as the entire device has not been reviewed in detail on video. With today's escape, we are getting closer. Google has already revealed parts of the design of the Pixel 4, but this one is largely concealed at the front of the phone. Although brief, this video provides our best direct look to date, showing a clear line around most screens, as well as the thicker top to make room for face recognition and gesture sensors.

The sides of the phone have a particularly thick appearance in this video, although I think they may look like this because they curl up a bit instead of staying completely flat. The sides also seem to have a matte texture more adherent than the back of the phone, which, unlike previous Pixel generations, is entirely covered with glass.

Last year, the Pixel 3 leaked several times before launch, to the point that many people had videos or extensive reviews. This year, Google hid Pixel 4 a bit more, but it also adopted the inevitable leaks and revealed clearer, clearer and more official images.

Until now, Google has released images on the back of the phone and revealed some key features, such as the inclusion of facial recognition, with Soli, its radio-based gesture detection system. Since we still have a month left before the announcement of the phone and we already experience a video leak, it is almost certain that there will be more.

The phone should be announced in early October.

This time, the phone is blank and started. Unfortunately, it is also brief, fragile and unclear. This leak was spotted by XDA developers and comes from a user on Weibo.

The GIF format gives an even more accurate idea of ​​the thickness of the phone frames. It also reveals that the white phone will have black sides and an orange power button.

Another possible addition: in the application drawer, a red icon with a waveform indicates that Google could finally include an integrated application for voice recording. (In one way or another, Android does not have one.) I've quickly checked the Play Store and it does not match the best results icons for memo apps voice or existing voice recorder. I hope that means that Google has created his own.
