A 26-year-old fighter secured an instant UFC contract after taking down her opponent with impressive and swift punches.

Brazilian Luana Pinheiro secured her contract in week nine of season four of Contender Series, a separate UFC entity designed to channel talent into the world’s leading mixed martial arts company.

The premise of each show is simple: fight well enough to impress Dana White, and win a contract to participate in the UFC.

On Tuesday night in Las Vegas, strawweight Pinheiro did just that, winning a first-round finish after hitting Stephanie Frausto with quick punches.

A seemingly relentless combination in a standing rally put Frausto on his back and, sensing the finish, Pinheiro pounced on his downed opponent. Referee Jason Herzog was forced to call off the fight after Pinheiro’s unanswered pitch.

It was a remarkable performance from Pinheiro, who adds his name to an exciting 115-pound weight class in the UFC.

With the win, Pinheiro advanced his professional MMA record to eight wins (two knockouts, five submissions and one decision) from a loss.

Elsewhere on the map, Nikolas Motta and Natan Levy have also won UFC deals with White, claiming the latter is highly praised by prominent people.

As MMA Fighting reported, “Levy had drawn praise from advocates for promotion and Hollywood relations as Israel’s dominant fighter.”

Levy had dominated Shaheen Santana with his superior grappling skills in a featherweight match, before sending his opponent to sleep with an arm-triangle choke in round three.

The win took Levy’s undefeated pro MMA record to six wins (three submissions and three decisions).

It’s not yet clear when Pinheiro, Levy or Motta will make their UFC debuts, but it will likely be in the coming months.
