Last June, when Sega revealed the Sega Genesis Mini / Mega Drive Mini and its game library during a live broadcast of Famitsu in Japan, it continued to work. surprise viewers by showing additional components that do not work for the device.
This included miniature versions of the Sega CD / Mega CD, a 32X extension, a Sonic & Knuckleslockable connection cartridge type and a standard carriage. This set is better known as the Sega Mega Tower Mini Drive and is currently exclusive to Japan.
Despite the limited release, Sega is now sending the Genesis Tower Mini version to some Western media, and our own video producer, Zion Grassl, has been fortunate to receive one. So he decided to unpack it!
Sega of America Communications Officer Jacob Nahin also made the following comment on Twitter:
Before anyone asked, they were * very * limited / a small series, and had just been sent to selected people. No announcement has been made regarding their sale in the West. Maybe we could understand how to put some in the hands …
With a little luck, Sega finds a way to make the Mini Tower available to fans in the West. Do you want to be able to recreate this almighty stack? Tell us below and make sure to watch the video above.
