A flash almost reached a man in South Carolina on Thursday.

Romulus McNeill was heading for his car as he held an umbrella in Horry County when a lightning hit nearby.
The video captured the moment that almost knocked him down.
He said that he felt a jolt when it happened.
"I saw the light," McNeill said. "I tried to get out of there like the Road Runner – I do not want that to happen to anyone else – it was crazy."
He said that he did not know exactly where this was going, but he will not risk walking in stormy weather anymore.
"Dark clouds and all that," he says. "I'm looking for dark clouds or something funny now, I have to watch, double-tap now."
