Video shows quick-thinking Chick-fil-A client helping cops apprehend runaway suspect

A customer who waits in a drive-thru in Chick-fil-a is praised for his quick thinking after helping a police officer apprehend a suspect he was chasing.

The incident took place in Jacksonville, Texas on Wednesday as the man lined up for his chicken sandwich, according to KLTV.

Jacksonville Police said officers were chasing a suspect who they said was driving a stolen vehicle and jumped out of the car to escape police.

When the suspect attempted to run between the line of cars through the restaurant parking lot, the customer waited for the appropriate moment to open his truck door on the suspect.

An officer jumped on the man after he fell to the ground, and the client can be seen assisting the officer as he proceeds to make the arrest.

“A starving customer, who was patiently waiting for his chicken sandwich, used his door to arrest the suspect. The suspect was quickly apprehended after Citizen ‘HANGRY’ (but helpful) reminded the suspect why you should never flee the city. police, ”the Jacksonville Police Department wrote on its Facebook page with a video of the incident.

Police did not say whether the suspect faced charges following his arrest.
