Apple TV + released the first full trailer for The morning show Season 2 – and announced a key cast in the process.
As confirmed via the trailer, Development stopped Veterinarian Will Arnett has joined the enviable ensemble as Jennifer Aniston’s agent Doug Klassen. Arnett’s casting had not been announced before. Stranger still, press documents make no mention of his involvement.
The new season is scheduled to air on Friday, September 17.
The two-minute plus promo also offers an expanded preview of Julianna Margulies’ new character, UBA’s new presenter Laura Peterson.
“Laura started out as a Date line show, ”showrunner Kerry Ehrin told EW.com. “He’s a UBA star and Diane Sawyer-level icon. We wanted to create a mentor figure for [Witherspoon’s] Bradley was someone who did things differently.
“The idea really came to have a character who did the job and what it looked like in this industry and in the UBA environment,” Ehrin added. “She’s at the top of her game. “
Much of the trailer focuses on UBA’s efforts to coax Alex from Aniston – who quit in the Season 1 finale after she and Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley exposed the toxic work culture. from UBA to the air – in the fold. We also have another preview at Alex Morning show successor Eric Nomani, played by new actor Hasan Minhaj (patriotic act), as well as confirmation that the coronavirus pandemic will feature in the Season 2 storyline.
