A new problem has apparently been discovered in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and it’s related to the Last DLC Fighter Sephiroth.
Under the right conditions, the angel has a wing of Final Fantasy VII can shatter other characters’ Final Smash (and the animation of every move, for that matter) – drastically reducing damage from the normally devastating attack and changing the visual effects every now and then.
To activate this unique issue, Sephiroth must defeat one of Pokémon Trainer’s pocket monsters with his Shadow Flare attack. After that, the opponent’s Final Smash attacks will deal little or nothing in terms of damage.
Below is a preview of a Nintendo Unity YouTube video:
“Let’s see how a new glitch can lead Sephiroth to absolutely smash every Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.”
Again, this issue requires unique circumstances to activate – so you likely won’t encounter it in standard matches.
While we’re sure this will be sorted out by Masahiro Sakurai and his team at some point, it shouldn’t impact the competitive side of the game – as Final Smash isn’t commonly used in tournaments.
What do you think of this strange problem? Have you played as Sephiroth recently? Tell us below.
