Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase grabbed the headlines ahead of his team’s opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
Something Chase probably didn’t think would make the headlines? He tweeted what appears to be a prediction for this weekend’s game and got some public talk in response to a Vikings player.
But that’s what happened Friday afternoon when Vikings cornerback Kris Boyd decided to strike back at Chase’s relatively harmless social media post, which simply said “1-0.”
From Boyd’s response, it appears he doesn’t agree with the idea that the Bengals will emerge victorious when they host the Vikings this weekend:

It’s certainly a way to spice up an unorthodox crossover showdown.
Chase can make his answer on the pitch, where he’ll have to prove he’s overcame his crash issues that have hampered his preseason performances and prompted him to applaud some critics this week.
