Vikings-Packers Q & A: Dalvin Cook goes wild during his 2019 debut

On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers will host NFC North's rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, at Lambeau Field. Ted "Grover" Glover of the Daily Norseman is graciously volunteered to answer our questions about the Vikings and to outline their strengths and weaknesses.

APC: Maybe no Vikings player took advantage of a better week than the one Dalvin Cook, who ran 21 times for 111 yards and two scores. Has it become the centerpiece of the offense or the team is concerned about giving systematic cook such a workload after missing 17 games in the last two years?

I do not feel any concern from the Viking coaching staff. Cook is 100% healthy, had a great camp and a great week, as you mentioned. While Mike Zimmer wants to return to the focus on the race, he is the focus of this attack, and we've seen it play against Atlanta. He has a good reserve team in rookie Alexander Mattison, who has accumulated 49 yards in just nine carries, so it's not like Cook was alone in the backcourt. I understand, it's a pass attack, but this attack will put Cook and the current game much more forward than they did under John DiFilippo, and that balance is essential to the success of the Vikings. Keeping this in mind, I think the Vikings will find a way to keep it cool during the match and throughout the season.

We would like to thank Ted for his time. Be sure to check out the rest of our Q & A session with Daily Norseman during the week as well as our Q & A session there. As always, keep your Internet devices tuned to Acme Packing Company this Sunday to benefit from our full match day coverage between Vikings and Packers.
