Viral Crypto overhaul idea prompted Apex Legends fans to demand Respawn take note

A viral Crypto overhaul idea has made Apex Legends fans salivate because it could be exactly what the surveillance expert needs, and some want Respawn to take note.

When Crypto was introduced to Apex Legends in Season 3, many fans assumed he would immediately take over the meta and become the new top legend everyone is playing.

This was not the case, however. The legend has its fans, but it has slipped in the popularity and usage charts in recent seasons.

As a result, fans demanded that Respawn get to work on a pretty big buff, coming up with plenty of ideas in the meantime. Still, it’s the most recent idea that is getting gamers excited and hoping Respawn will implement it.

Fans have constantly asked for more power for Crypto.

The incredibly detailed pitch comes from Redditor idiroon who suggests that Crypto’s trusty drone might have auto-use modes that could be set. These would allow players to send their drone in and forward it instead of just hovering.

Moreover, they also suggest that when using the drone manually, Crypto should be able to exit the network. This would mean that the surveillance expert does not appear on different scans while using the drone.

It might inspire thoughts on Call of Duty’s Ghost Perk, which looks pretty perfect for a character whose lore is based on being a hacker and working in the shadows.

It didn’t take long for some fans to suggest that this is the kind of change Respawn should make to Crypto. “It’s literally perfect, the automatic modes offer different ways to use your drone without giving it extra power,” one player said. “Respawn, I think you have a job open for the lead designer of Balance if I’m correct…” added another.

Of course, Respawn has previously stated that it can’t mine fan ideas for the content, as it could put them in hot water for a number of different reasons.

Either way, fans will tell you that Crypto is in desperate need of a big overhaul and it fits the bill.
