Parker Police have launched a criminal investigation into Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller.
“The matter is currently under investigation and no information can be released at this time,” Josh Hans, a Parker police spokesperson, said in an email.
If investigators determine that a crime has been committed, a case will be presented to the Douglas County district attorney’s office for review, Hans said.
“We have no cases,” said Vikki Migoya, spokesperson for a prosecutor.
Hans did not give further details about the investigation.
The Broncos have not released a statement on the Miller investigation.
Miller, 31, missed the entire 2020 Broncos season after injuring his ankle in practice a week before the season opener against Tennessee.
Broncos all-time leader in the sacks (106) Miller is expected to have a high of $ 22.125 million on the 2021 salary cap, including a base salary of $ 17.5 million.
If the Broncos cut Miller, they can create $ 13.875 million in ceiling space.
Since joining the Broncos in 2011, Miller’s only documented legal issue was an arrest in August 2011 after failing to appear on trafficking accusers. A month later, he was cited for driving with a suspended license, and he also pleaded guilty to three traffic offenses from 2012-13. He was ordered to do 24 hours of community service and take a driving course.
In August 2013, he was suspended six games by the NFL for violating league policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
