(Reuters) – US stocks fell slightly on opening Tuesday, weighed down by losses in Home Depot (NYSE 🙂 and caterpillar (NYSE 🙂 as investors wait for the testimony of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on monetary policy.

The index fell 40.34 points, or 0.15%, to 26,051.61 at the opening. The lower opening was reduced by 3.75 points, or 0.13%, to 2792.36. The drop of 19.17 points, or 0.25 percent, to 7,535.29 at the opening bell.
