The Walmart leader reportedly shared Friday a seemingly simple solution that he believes should help his company save at least $ 30 million this year.
The change in the company's distribution centers involves the elimination of "clumsy, tall and heavy" stools and the alternate use of lighter stools, said CNBC CEO Doug McMillon.
He highlighted the multi-million dollar savings concept at the Walmart Investor Conference, the point of sale said.

Walmart would like its semi-trailers to be filled with goods to be efficient and reduce expenses.
The company gave its employees a stepladder to help achieve this goal, but it was bulky, said McMillon. As a result, it would have fallen into disuse and the semi-trailers would not have been completely filled.

McMillion noted an improvement since setting up a lighter stool and said the company was doing "a lot better job" using space in the trailers, reported CNBC.
