Walmart Gives Shoppers Free Thanksgiving Dinner

Walmart has partnered with several brands to deliver free Thanksgiving dinner to customers during the pandemic, which has hurt the finances of millions of Americans.

Ibotta, Campbell’s, Butterball and Coca-Cola have all teamed up with the megastore to roll out the 100% cashback offer, available at Walmart while supplies last.

Free Thanksgiving dinner includes: a roast turkey breast with butterballs; Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom; McCormick Turkey Gravy Seasoning; Great Value Stuffing Mix; Great Value Frozen Green Beans; Great Value Cranberry Sauce; Idahoan Instant Mashed Potatoes; French’s crispy onions and a 2-liter Coke.

To take advantage of the free family meal, customers can purchase the included items from Walmart or Walmart.com. After purchasing the products, customers will either need to download the Ibotta app or visit Ibotta’s website and scan the Walmart receipt or link their Walmart Grocery accounts to Ibotta to earn 100% cash back for the purchase.

As the party draws near, state organizations attempt to help struggling Americans.

In New York City, the New York Food Bank on Monday distributed 500 turkeys, canned goods and produce to hundreds of families in the Harlem neighborhood. The food bank has announced plans to donate an additional 2,000 turkeys over the next two weeks after teaming up with supermarket chain Stop & Shop.

Over the weekend, the North Texas Food Bank distributed 600,000 pounds of food, including 7,000 turkeys, to 25,000 people. Photos from the event showed thousands of cars online.
