The PS5 is out now, but the stock ran out so quickly that you’re probably struggling to find one, even if you used a handy guide where to buy. But Walmart could support you.
Walmart PS5 stock: verification time
AND: 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m., 9 p.m.
CT: 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m., 8 p.m.
MT: 10 a.m., 1 p.m. 4 p.m., 7 p.m.
PT: 9 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m.
That’s because he said the new PS5 stock will be available at certain times throughout PS5 launch day on November 12. The new stock will go live at 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET.
Both PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will be available at these stock replenishment intervals, so you’ll have to choose between the full PS5 or the digital edition that removes the Blu-ray player.
But there’s a catch: you’ll have to place your order online, as you won’t be able to purchase one from your local Walmart store.
It is because Sony already announced that the new PS5 units will not be available online until the day of release, due to public safety concerns. So Walmart was quick to warn fans that there will be no consoles available for purchase in stores.
Target Will also have a PS5 console in stock today, but unlike Walmart, you can only get one if you order online and pick it up in store. Walmart, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to offer this, telling shoppers to “Be careful, stay home and order online.”
While that does mean you’ll have to wait for your console to ship, you’ll still get one. And without having to risk going out in large crowds. After all, you don’t want to put yourself at risk for Covid-19, or worse having to deal with anyone who wants to steal your console.
For those of you who aren’t powering up your consoles or around release day, you’ll just have to wait for Sony and Microsoft to meet the demand.
So sit back, be patient, and don’t panic if you can’t get your order right away.
