Walmart PS5 and Xbox Series X restocking was a nightmare (yes, again)

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X stock is back out of stock at Walmart online stores again. Out and in – gone, quickly, in the blink of an eye this afternoon After suggesting they would have a new batch of PS5 and Xbox Series X units available for sale today, potential customers found that buying a next-gen gaming console was easier said than done.

The biggest problem, it seems, with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X sales on Walmart’s webpage today was the data entry process. Users were required to enter their address and payment information for the console before placing an order, but AFTER pressing the buy button.

It looks like Walmart has potentially had access to a lot of addresses and payment information today – more than the users who actually had the option of purchasing the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.

The difference between adding a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X to a user’s cart and being able to purchase that console was the subject of much comment on social media this afternoon. Memes flowed like wine.

Users have accused Walmart of allowing bots to buy console refills today, as is the case with all high-demand online shopping days like these.

The most common purchase report today was the following process: Add PS5 to Cart – see “We’re Sorry.” An error has occurred. Please go back to your cart “- try again – sold out, with the message” Oh Deer “.

If you’re looking for a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X now, you’d do well to find one in a bundle. This will mean paying a much higher amount than the base price for the console alone, but you might actually end up paying LESS than you would if you were trying to find the console on eBay.
